Obituary for LouAnne Eldridge (Hamann)
LouAnne Eldridge, 78, of Carterville, passed away at 1 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at her residence in Carterville, Illinois.
LouAnne was born on March 31, 1939, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Orvel Hamann and Eva Mae (Cann) Hamann.
She was retired as a dispatch from the Will County Sheriff Office.
Mrs. Eldridge was a very avid advocate for veterans.
She was married to Arthur Eldridge and he preceded her in death. They had four children surviving:
Sherri (Paul) Young of Carterville, Kent (Judy) Eldridge of Bradley, IL, Shelli (Louis) Daniels and Kreg (Nikki) Eldridge;
nine grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren;
one sister Judy Hamann-Meyer of Bradley;
one brother Bruce (Sue) Hamann of Peotone.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her body will be cremated.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at the Peotone American Legion Post # 392, 109 E. North Street, Peotone, IL 60468 from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
