Obituary for Chester "Mike" Michael Wood
Chester "Mike" Michael Wood, 58, passed away at 3:59 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Chester Michael was born on November 4, 1960, in Glen Dale, WV, to Sydney Oscar and Hope Juanita (Emery) Wood.
Mr. Wood had served in the U.S. Marine Corps at Parris Island, SC, during the late 1970's.
Mike is survived by two sons Clinton Wood and Travis Wood, both of Murphysboro;
two half daughters Crystal Nichols of Murphysboro and Lauri Tibbett of Arizona;
five grandchildren including Annaliese Stephenson, Aliana Stephenson and Jordan Nichols;
eight great grandchildren;
two sisters and one brother Loutecia Fields, Sydney Wood, Jr., and June Wood, all of Moundsville, WV;
and two half sisters and one half brother Laura Francis, Ruth Wood, and Wesley Wood, of Moundsville, WV.
His body will be cremated and at this time there will be no services.
