Obituary for William D. Heldenbrand

William D.  Heldenbrand
William D. Heldenbrand, 79, of Calhoun, Illinois, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois.

William was born on July 29, 1939, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to John F. Heldenbrand and Daisy (Collins) Heldenbrand.

He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

Bill had worked as a spot welder at the former A.M.F. (now Pacific Cycle) in Olney.

Mr. Heldenbrand was a member of the American Legion Post # 30 in Olney, Illinois.

He married Joyce I. (Jans) on October 30, 1964, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, and she survives.

Other survivors include four children Brian Neal (Anna) Heldenbrand and their two children Julia and Bradley,
Denise "Renae" (Steven) Sons of Fairfield, and their two children Adrianne and Joseph,
Curtis Burnell (Roberta) Heldenbrand and their two children Erica and Tyler, and he has one daughter Lilly Ann, and William's youngest son Daryl Heldenbrand .

one brother and five sisters.

He was preceded in death by one son David Paul Heldenbrand on September 24, 1997, two sisters Mary Ann and Jessie, and his parents.

His body will be cremated and Memorial Services will be held at 3 p.m.
Saturday, January 12, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in West Salem, Illinois.
