Christopher "Tiny" Ronald Johnson, 43, of Murphysboro, was found on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at his residence in Murphysboro.
Christopher was born on December 14, 1974, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Ronald Johnson and Donna (Rains) Johnson.
He had worked in the area as a construction worker.
Mr. Johnson had attended the Church of the Nazarene in Murphysboro.
Chris was a comic book collector, as well as a gamer and an Xbox player. He was a very good cook and a very good singer. He loved his family, but most of all, he especially loved his nieces and nephews.
Chris is survived by his parents of Murphysboro; paternal grandmother Opal Johnson of Murphysboro;
two sisters Danielle (Omar) Blythe of Murphysboro and Jennifer Johnson of St. Louis, MO;
five nieces and one nephew Alyssa (Raymond) Ward of Energy, Kelsie Johnson of Carbondale, Kiara Blythe, Amari Blythe, and Korey Blythe, all of Carbondale and Riley Johnson of St. Louis, MO;
one great nephew Jaxon Lilly of Carbondale, and two great nieces Tinsley Ward of Energy and Mia Johnson of Carbondale;
and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceded in death by one brother Joe Johnson, and grandparents Zelphia and Floyd Rains and Joseph Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. P. K. Sunny officiating and burial at Murdale Gardens of Memory.
