Obituary for Joshua A Kelley
Joshua A. Kelley, 41, of Murphysboro, passed away at 12:01 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018, at his residence in Murphysboro.
Joshua was born on Murphysboro, to Larry Miller and Oueida (Johnson) Mills.
He was a laborer and a farmer.
Joshua raised chickens, ducks, rabbits and any other furry or feathered animal. He also went hunting and fishing. He loved to have bonfires with his kids. His favorite color was purple and he liked old cars.
He is survived by his mother and step father Oueida and Charlie Mills of Murphysboro.
Joshua and Heather Chapman had three children Hailley (Troy) Dodd of Carbondale, Mercedes Kelley of Murphysboro and Brice Carpenter of DuQuoin;
and Allison Phillips and Joshua were married and they had three children Mikalla (Phillip Glenn) Kelley of Murphysboro, Alex Kelley of Willisville, and Shelby Kelley of Gorham;
three grandchildren Emjay Glenn, Oliver Glenn and Emmett Welge, and one on the way;
his best friend Adam Stearns;
four sisters Tiffany Miller, Emily Miller, Kaysie Miller, and Amber Dobbins;
and many other family members too numerous to mention.
His body will be cremated.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018, at Elm Street Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the family. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
