Eileen Murle Hiser, 98, of Murphysboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at her residence in Murphysboro.

Eileen was born on April 25, 1920, in Granite City, Illinois, to Charles Sullivan and Bessie (Hagler) Sullivan.

She was a homemaker and loved to be with her grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed gardening and painting until her eyesight failed. She loved to be with people and was a great role model for women.

Mrs. Hiser was a member of Christ Community Church in Murphysboro.

Eileen is survived by one son and daughter in law Michael Ray and Rebecca Hiser of Murphysboro;

four granddaughters Candice Francis, Amanda Geltz, Valeria Hiser and Kristina Hiser;

ten great grandchildren Adam Francis, Michaela Francis, P. J. Francis, Andrew Francis, Kenneth Hiser, Zachary Green, Jewel Green, Anya Getz, Draven Geltz, and Alessa Geltz;

one sister Norma Lee Smith, Pekin, IL; and one brother Rev. Wayne Reginald Sullivan of OR.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter Misty Green, one brother Bill Sullivan, two sisters Thelma Sullivan and Rev. Ruth Patton.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday, November 19, 2018, at Christ Community Church with Rev. Rick McNeely officiating and burial at Tower Grove Cemetery.
