Doris Lee  Castlebery (Replogle)
Doris Lee Castlebery, 88, of Murphysboro, passed away at 7:38 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, at her residence in Murphysboro.

Doris was born on March 1, 1930, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Ivan Replogle and Coretta (McDowell) Replogle.

She had worked as a personal secretary for both the Lustour Corp. in Murphysboro and Martin Oil Company in Carbondale.

Doris then married Harvey Castlebery on June 26, 1954, at the Centenary Methodist Church in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2011.

She was a very wonderful, dedicated, loving mother and housewife. She was known as an excellent cook. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and she will be deeply missed!

Doris is survived by two children Rick Castlebery and his wife LeJeana, and Linda Worthen, all of Murphysboro;

four grandchildren Nathan (Kellie Haak) Wachsnicht, C. J. (Val) Worthen, Jessica (Paul) Sullivan and Cole (Heather) Castlebery;

five great grandchildren Ivan, Rowen, Ayden, Rylee, and Carson;

one brother David (Barlene) Replogle of Manhattan Beach, CA; and several special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and her parents.

Gravesite services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2018, at Tower Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Pettett Funeral Home.
