Ruehama D. Reeder, 96, of Murphysboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018, at her residence in Murphysboro.
Ruehama was born on October 18, 1921, in Jackson County, Illinois, to Rollie Hobbs and Rosa (Braun) Hobbs.
She had worked at the Brown Shoe Factory and then worked as a machine operator at Lustour/Curwood for thirty-four years.
She enjoyed crocheting and reading. She read through her bible every year.
Mrs. Reeder was a member of the Abundant Life Fellowship in Murphysboro and she lived her faith.
Ruehama was survived by three sons and daughters in law Louis and Christine Mitchell of Murphysboro, Vern and Laura Reeder of Nix, MO, and John and Lenna Reeder of Murphysboro;
thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren;
one sister Wilma Brewer of Vergennes.
She was preceded in death by one grandson Christopher Mitchell, her parents, and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on at 12 noon Saturday, August 4, 2018, at the Abundant Life Fellowship with Rev. James Easton officiating and burial at Mt. Joy Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abundant Life Fellowship, the Gideon International, or the Bald Knob Cross of Peace.
