Obituary for Kelsey Ann Hazen (Nelson)

Kelsey Ann Hazen,31, of Elkville, passed away as a result of injuries from an automobile accident north on Route 51 of Carbondale at Fox Road, on Wednesday evening, June 27, 2018.

Kelsey was born on November 24, 1986, at Placerville, California, to Mark Alan and Debra Nelson.

Mrs. Hazen worked for Logan Primary Care in Herrin in patient intake.

She liked to garden and spending time with her children and family. She would light up the world.
Kelsey married Joseph Hazen on June 19, 2010, in South Lake Tahoe, California, and he survives.

Other survivors include two daughters Honor Nicole and Kinsley Jo, both at home;

her mother of Placerville, CA;

her maternal grandmother Josephine "GG" Hamilton of Locus, CA;

one brother Kyle (Katherine) Nelson
of Placerville, CA and one nephew Hoyt Ferris and one niece Harper June Nelson;

her mother in law Margaret Quigley and her fiancée Bill Todd; her father in law Marc Hazen;

two sisters in law Stephanie Crow and her husband Danny Crow and Angela Porter and her husband Bill Porter; two nieces and two nephews Chelsey (Travis) Arpasi, Skyler (Cheyenne Abbadusky) Crow, Nessa Rowald and Jared Rowald;

and a special friend Natalie Clingman.

She was preceded in death by her father on July 15 2014, and her grandfather Mel Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Mileur officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Her body will then be cremated. Memorials may be made to the family. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
