Obituary for Dr. M. Diane Pettypool
Dr. M. Diane Pettypool, 68, of Murphysboro, passed away at 2:12 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Diane was born on August 17, 1949, in California to Charles E. Pettypool and Margeret June (Davis) Pettypool.
Dr. M. Diane Pettypool was a Professor of Mathematics at SEMO University, and she retired due to a stroke.
She is survived by two cousins Marti Miller and her daughter Caitlin Ward, and Mimi Dallas and her daughters Pam Gleason, Carol Gleason and Kathryn Gleason;
and three caregivers Kim Weathers and her family, Whitney Alexander and her mother Ingrid Alexander, and Traci Jenkel.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Gravesite services will be held at 11:15 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018, at Zion Cemetery with Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
