Obituary for Diana "Kim" Kimberly Lively (Young)

Diana "Kim" Kimberly  Lively (Young)
Diane Kimberly "Kim" Lively, 58, of DeSoto, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Kim was born on September 14, 1959, in Carbondale, to Daniel Young and Dianna (Hethmon) Young.

She started working at the Bank of Carbondale her senior year of high school. She had worked at several banks until they moved to West Virginia in 1994. She had started nursing school in 1993 at John A. Logan College, and when she moved, the nursing school was full and could not accept her at that time.

Kim married Arthur "Joe" Lively on June 10, 1978, in DeSoto, Illinois, and he survives.

Other survivors include her parents, two daughters Amy Grammer and her husband Matt Grammer, and Kara Diane Lively;

six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Tyler Grammer, Kaylen Grammer, Tia Lively, Peyton Lively, Jaxon Bauchanan, and Madison Kimberly Bauchanan;

and one brother Allen Young.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Wehrmeier officiating and burial at DeSoto Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
