Colleen Ann Rennison, 76, of Murphysboro, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018, at her residence in Murphysboro.

Colleen was born on January 10, 1942, in Topeka, Kansas, to Virgil and Louise Cook.

She was a paralegal for the State of Illinois and had worked at both Menard in Chester and at the Pinckneyville Correctional Center. She had previously volunteered at the Women's Center.

Colleen was very artistic and was a very good seamstress.

She is survived by three sons Steven (Marie) Rennison and David Rennison, all of Murphysboro, and Christopher Rennison of Gainesville, VA;

eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren;

and one sister Virginia Batson of Pinckneyville.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and her parents.

Her body will be cremated. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Pettett Funeral Home. Because she was a breast cancer survivor, the family would like for memorials to be made in memory of their mother to help in fighting breast cancer.
