Obituary for Robert James McKee
Robert James, McKee, 62, of Murphysboro, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018, at his residence in Murphysboro.
Robert was born on May 15, 1955, in Brazil, Indiana, to Ray McKee and Erma Jane (Clarke) McKee.
He was a truck driver.
Robert liked to go fishing and he loved to grill. He was a gamer.
He is survived by six children Robert Adams of Elkville, Robert James (Candi) McKee, Jr. of Vincennes, IN, Katherine McKee and James Francis McKee, both of Terra Haute, IN, James Elvis McKee of Pinckneyville, and Amanda Lynn McKee of Murphysboro;
sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren;
one brother Russell Gate of Massachusetts, and he has fifteen other adopted brothers and sisters.
Robert is survived by the love of his life Beverly Carlene McKee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his best friend Vickie Lynn McKee in 2013.
His body will be cremated and a gravesite service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018, at Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower with Rev. Richard Pyatt officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
