Charles W. Leggans, 57, of Murphysboro, passed away at 10:35 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, in Murphysboro.

Charles was born on October 19, 1960, in McLeansboro, Illinois, to Curtis Leggans and Patsy (Webb). She married Donald Clutts and Charles was raised by them.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Adeline. He liked wood crafting and football, and he traveled and played the drums for several bands in southern Illinois including the Peacemakers.

Charles is survived by his daughter Chassity Leggans; his granddaughter Adeline Webb; his mother Patsy Clutts; and one niece Darlene Jean Parson, all of Murphysboro.

He was preceded in death by his father, step father, and a step sister LaDonna Parsons.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Pettett Funeral Home and visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
