Obituary for Natashia Jayne Caraway Mahoney

Natashia Jayne Caraway Mahoney, 34, of Murphysboro, was reunited with her brother Garrison in heaven, at 11:28 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois. The family finds great comfort in knowing that they are together.

Natashia was born on October 18, 1982, at Great Lakes Naval Hospital, North Chicago, Illinois, to Brett A. Mahoney and Kelly (Crombar) Mahoney.

She was raised Catholic and recently had been attending the First Christian Church in Murphysboro.

Natashia loved spending time with her boys and attending all of their sporting events.

She is survived by two sons, Zane Caraway and Ashton Caraway, both at home;

her parents of Murphysboro,

her grandmothers Karran Crombar of Murphysboro and Sue Mahoney of Marion;

her aunts and uncles Crey (Mike) Law, Robyn Rogers, Leslie Williams, Allen (Deanna) Crombar, Lance (Brooke) Crombar, Michael (Brenda) Mahoney, Michelle Ellowitz, and Dan Mahoney; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother Garrison Parker Mahoney, and her grandparents, Bob and Mary Jane Crombar, John "Jack" Mahoney, and Elaine Darnell.

Natashia was an organ donor, and, through her gift, another person's life has been saved!

Her body will be cremated, and there will be private family services held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caraway Education Fund, that has been established for Zane and Ashton Caraway. Donations will be accepted at Pettett Funeral Home or may be mailed to Leslie P. Williams CPA, 2501 W. Murphysboro Road, Carbondale, IL 62901.
