Obituary for Jeffrey C. Ticer
Jeffrey C. Ticer, 35, of Jacob, went to be with the our Lord on Thursday, August 10, 2017.
Jeffrey was born on July 10, 1982, in Chester, to Russell Ticer and the late Laura (Schlimpert) Ticer.
He married Casey Pulliam on May 10, 2002, and she survives.
Jeffrey was of the Lutheran faith.
He worked at Plaza Tire in Murphysboro. He enjoyed spending his spare time riding his motorcycle, playing his guitar while singing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Other survivors include his children that he loved so much CJ, Colten, Maria, and Emily, all of Jacob;
his father and step mother Russell and Christy Ticer of Johnston City;
two sisters Jessica Betts (Shane Lair) of Chester and Melinda (Ralph) Jones of Sparta;
a step brother Sgt. Jacob Reed of the Marine Corp.;
his grandmother Kay Ticer of Marion;
and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Laura Ticer, grandfathers Charlie Ticer, Glenn Schlimpert, and grandmother Rita Schlimpert.
His body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Kettner officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. At a later date, private family gravesite services will be held at Christ Lutheran Cemetery, where he will lay to rest with his mother. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for his children.
