Roberta Mae Keller (Brown)
Roberta Mae Keller, 92, of Murphysboro, went to be with her Lord at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017, at the Manor Court of Carbondale.
Roberta was born on August 6, 1924, in Anna, Illinois, to Robert N. Brown and Mamie (Dillow) Brown.
She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and more recently she was an avid reader.
Mrs. Keller was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro.
Roberta married Rev. Doyle Melvin Keller on October 3, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2008.
She is survived by three children and their spouses Sharon and Jim Gray and Anna and Fred Beck, all of Murphysboro, and David and Suzanne Keller of Pinckneyville;
one daughter in law Phyllis Keller of Escanaba, Michigan;
seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren;
and one sister in law Jane Brown of Perryville, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy Donna Carol Keller, one son Robert Keller, one brother Doyle Brown, one sister June King, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Elm Street Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Allen and Ron Shadowens officiating and visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Gravesite services will be held at St. John's Cemetery at Dongola at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
