Dora "Miss Dodie" Carol Fricke (Carroll)
Dora "Miss Dodie" Carol Fricke, 71, of Murphysboro, passed away at 9:07 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Dora was born on August 4, 1945, in Murphysboro, to George Carroll and Lula Viola (Cook) Sill.
She was a bus driver for the Head Start at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and the children referred to her as "Miss Dodie".
She enjoyed her grandchildren and her two dogs.
Dora is survived by one daughter and son in law Michelle Eisenhauer and Ron Milton of Murphysboro;
one son Brian Fricke of Anna;
seven grandchildren Ryan Keith Fricke of Murphysboro, Timothy Eisenhauer of Vergennes, Michael Brown, Jayden Milton, Jayla Milton and Jase Milton all of Murphysboro and Jamie Foreman and her husband Chris Foreman both of Iowa;
two great grandchildren Addison Foreman and Christian Foreman, both of Iowa;
two brothers Floyd "Hoppy" Hopkins and his wife Pat Hopkins and George Robert Sill, all of Murphysboro;
one sister Alice Ferrill and her husband "Butch" Ferrill of Carbondale, and several nieces and nephews..
She was preceded in death by one sister Rosie Hamilton, two sisters in infancy, one brother Andy Hopkins, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Rogers officiating and burial at Murdale Gardens of Memory.
