Obituary for Randell Ivan Van Hoy

Randell Ivan Van Hoy, 74, of Murphysboro, passed away at the Marion Rehab and Care Center, Marion, Illinois.

Randell was born on December 25, 1942, in Jackson County, Illinois, to Linden and Helen (McBride) Van Hoy.

He had worked as a laborer in construction and in the kitchen at area restaurants. He liked to pick up cans and he liked to help people by working as a handyman.

Mr. Van Hoy had been a member of the Ava Missionary Baptist Church, Ava, Illinois.

Randell is survived by two sisters Darlene Stuart of Marion and Ruth Ann Van Hoy of Murphysboro;

One brother and sister in law Harold and Lucille Van Hoy of Red Bud;

and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and 3 brothers and his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Ava Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Ketteman officiating. Pettett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
