Obituary for Shirley Ray "Hip" Yearian
Mr. Shirley "Hip" Ray Yearian, 73, of Oraville, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, Illinois.
Shirley Ray was born on December 12, 1931, in Oraville, Illinois, to Fayette Lee Yearian and Rosa Gertrude (Taylor) Yearian.
He was a farmer.
He married Mae (Benton) on April 25, 1968, in Murphysboro, Illinois, and she survives.
Mr. Yearian is survived by three sisters Doris Piquard and her husband "Bo" Piquard of Murphysboro, Rosalie Shipman of Huntington Beach, CA, and Stella Cullen of El Monte, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at Pettett Funeral Home with Greg Parker officiating and burial at Parrish Cemetery in Vergennes. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
