Obituary for Mary Kay Ziegler

Mary Kay Ziegler, 78, of Murphysboro, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at her son's residence in Murphysboro.

Mary Kay was born on November 7, 1936, in Murphysboro, to Joseph Kobiela and Gertrude (Piltz) Kobiela.

She was a homemaker.

Mary Kay was an avid reader and she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting.

She is survived by one son and daughter in law Jay and Melba Ziegler of Murphysboro;

four grandchildren Kristin Reiman and her husband Ben Reiman of Murphysboro, Taylor Ziegler of Caseyville, Stephanie Jines and Sarah Jines-Ziegler, both of Murphysboro;

and one great grandchild on the way.

She is also survived by two sisters Betty Jo Tucker of Murphysboro and Peggy Jean Eaton of Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at the 17th Street Warehouse this coming Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. and a Celebration of her Life will follow from 2 to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials in Mary Kay's memory to either the Murphysboro High School Volleyball Team, the Murphysboro High School Devil Dazzlers, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
