Obituary for Pastor Chuck Mark Nehring

Pastor Chuck Mark  Nehring
Pastor Charles Mark Nehring, 66, went home to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday evening, February 15, 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Rev. Nehring traded in his earth suit for a new glorified body. He was a man of Faith and he now sees that faith come to fruition. He was loved and respected by all his family and friends. "Precious in the sight of The Lord is the death of His saints" gives us peace in this time of sorrow.

Chuck was born and raised on a farm outside Hinckley IL. He served in Vietnam and then attended SIUC where he met his future bride Cindy McDaniel Nehring who survives, along with his two children Caleb and Rachel Nehring.

In addition to his tenure at Farm Services, Chuck pastored Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Murphysboro for 28 years. He also drove a Beck Bus part-time in Carbondale since 1998 where he met so many friends and was able to share the love of Jesus to countless souls.

He also leaves behind his father "Bud" Nehring; sister Kathy Nehring; brothers Kent and wife Janice Nehring Doug and wife Donna Nehring;

one niece Kara and her husband Kenny McMurtey,

mother in law Faye McDaniel, two sisters in law Molly McDaniel, Brenda and husband Tom McDaniel;

niece Jessie and husband Jeremy Clipperton, nephews Jordan and Joe McDaniel.

There are many loving church members, who will greatly miss Pastor Chuck, but they are confident he is rejoicing with others who have gone onto Heaven, specifically his mother Faith Nehring and father in law Fred McDaniel.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Abundant Life Fellowship with the Rev. Jim Easton and Steve Sampson officiating, with military services conducted by the American Legion Paul Stout Post # 127 at the church immediately following the funeral services due to the weather. Burial at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday evening from 5 to 8 and then on Saturday morning from 10 to 11. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Murphysboro. Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro is in charge of the services.
