Obituary for Gertrude O'Connor (Gerardi)
Gertrude was born on December 13, 1915, in Jerseyville, Illinois, to Joseph Gerardi and Eleanor (Collignon) Gerardi.
Mrs. O'Connor was a member to St. Andrew Church, St. Andrew Altar Society, a former member of the Blue Army, and the Ridge Club.
She was also a Housewife and Homemaker.
Gertrude married Edward C. O'Connor on November 25, 1937, in O'Fallon, Illinois, and he survives.
Other survivors include eight children Sister Trudy O'Connor, O.S.F. of Springfield, IL, Robert O'Connor and his wife Sally O'Connor of Elk Mountain, WY, Thomas O'Connor and his wife Maria O'Connor of Aurora, IL, Mary Becker and her husband George Becker of Pittsburgh, PA, Daniel O'Connor and his wife Lois O'Connor of St. Louis, MO, John O'Connor and his wife Pat O'Connor of Tamms, IL, Dennis O'Connor and his wife Tonya O'Connor of Marion, IL, and Ann King and her husband Buddy King of Murphysboro;
twenty-five grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren;
one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son David Paul O'Connor, four sisters, one brother, and her parents.
