Obituary for Dale A. Zimmer I
Dale A. Zimmer I, age 43, of Murphysboro, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2006, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Dale was born on August 7, 1962, in Carbondale, to Bob Zimmer and Catherine (Dallas) Zimmer.
He had been a chauffeur for Bart Transportation. He had worked in social services and helped take care of people. He and his wife took care of Gordon Karraker in their home for over five years.
Mr. Zimmer had attended Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro, and he loved music.
He married Darlene Tucker on April 5, 1994, in Jackson, MO, and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother of Murphysboro; one son Dale Alan Zimmer II and his fiancee Courtney Davis of Lakemore, IL;
one step son Julius Crow of Murphysboro;
one brother and sister in law Jim and DeeAnn Zimmer of Murphysboro;
one sister and brother in law Sherry and Bob Bois of Phoenix, AZ;
two nephews Garret Bois of Phoenix, AZ and James Miller of Louisville, KY; and one niece Natasha Miller of Louisville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father.
