Obituary for Bernard Daniel "Dan" Ytzen

Bernard Daniel "Dan" Ytzen, age 43, of Murphysboro, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning September 25, 2005, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
The Celebration of His Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at Christ Community Church with Rev. Philip Nordstrom officiating and burial will be at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Community Building Fund. Pettett Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Dan was born on October 23, 1961, in Clinton, Iowa, to Jerry Ytzen and Bernadine Ytzen.
Mr. Ytzen had worked in the kitchen at Tippey's Restaurant in Murphysboro for a couple of years. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Murphysboro.
He married Melinda Carlisle on July 19, 2000, in Murphysboro, and she survives.
Other survivors include two children Sara Ytzen Scott and Cory Ytzen, both of Evansville, IN; one step son Greg Peters of Murphysboro; one grandson Sean Peters of Murphysboro;
one sister Bonnie Salvetti of Marion, IL; one brother Richard Ytzen of Laguna Hills, California;
his parents in law Bill and Shirley Carlisle of Murphysboro; one brother in law Bob Carlisle of Murphysboro and one sister in law Karen Rains of Murphysboro;
nieces and nephews; and his brothers and sisters in Christ from his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
